250,000 PR's Wanted By Canada in 2014

Each year the CIC helps 250,000 permanent residents come to Canada and each year about 160,000 people become Canadian citizens.

Some people are not allowed to come to Canada. They are known as “inadmissible” under Canada’s Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA).

There are a number of reasons you can be refused entry to Canada such as: designated security threat, human or international rights violations, criminal activity, organized criminal connections, health grounds, financial reasons, non-compliance with IRPA regulations

Use this link to learn more about inadmissible criteria. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/inadmissibility/index.asp

Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) is internally working with the Canada Border Services Agency, Passport Canada and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police to eliminate immigration fraud. Immigration Fraud is a crime in Canada which costs Canadian taxpayers money, and slows down processing of valid immigration applications.

Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) is working internationally with: Australia, the United Kingdom, the United States and New Zealand to eliminate immigration fraud and put immigration fraud criminals in jail.

There are different programs that allow you to immigrate to Canada in person. You do not need to hire a representative.

One example program is the Federal Skilled Workers Program.

There is no cap on applications with a valid job offer.

However up to April 30, 2014, CIC has stated they will consider no more than 5,000 complete federal skilled worker applications from the eligible occupations stream for processing and 1,000 from the PhD stream.

Within the 5,000 cap, CIC has stated they will consider no more than 300 applications per eligible occupation for processing within this same time frame.

The Top questions asked to CIC representatives are:
Who is a federal skilled worker?
What are the language requirements for Federal Skilled Worker Program applicants?
What is arranged employment for the Federal Skilled Worker Program?
