THE 2014 DX CANADIAN HIGH SCHOOL DESIGN COMPETITION

The Design Exchange is proud to announce the 19th Annual DX Canadian High School Design Competition.

The aim of the competition is to promote the study and awareness of various design disciplines in schools across Canada.

The competition is open to all high school students studying in Canada. Prizes will be awarded in five categories – Industrial Design, Fashion Design, Costume Design, Architecture / Landscape Design, Interior Design, and Graphic Design.

The deadline is May 1st, 2014

The Design Exchange (DX) is Canada’s only museum dedicated exclusively to the pursuit of design excellence and preservation of design heritage through  public programs and exhibitions. The DX exhibitions and talks highlight contemporary culture, and demonstrate the relevancy and importance of design to everyday life.

The DX is a registered non-profit charity.  The Design Exchange promotes the relevancy and experience of design to as large a number of people as possible.  The DX will now be exclusively a Design Museum. Displaying the various design disciplines including fashion, architecture, interior and industrial design, digital design and more, exhibitions and programming will explore designers, products, projects or themes that have broad public appeal and reflect popular contemporary culture. New events include: traveling exhibits from prestigious cultural institutions across the globe, a new city-wide cultural component, a greater focus on educational experiences for the public, including youth and adults, and a rollout of programming that will extend across Canada.
